Alice Wallet Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 19, 2026
Alice Wallet ("Alice Wallet", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Alice Wallet handles information across all of its forms — the Alice browser extension, the Alice desktop wallet, and the Alice mobile app.
1. Overview
Alice Wallet is a non-custodial, self-custody wallet for the Alice Protocol network. We do not take custody of your assets. We do not store your private keys, recovery phrase, or account password on our servers — ever. Your keys are generated and held only on your own device.
2. Information We Collect
Alice Wallet is built to collect as little as possible. We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. The browser extension in particular sends no clicks, page views, analytics, or tracking events to any Alice server, and your keys and addresses never leave your device.
The following information is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to us:
- Your wallet addresses
- Your encrypted keystore (private keys / recovery phrase), encrypted at rest with your password
- App preferences and settings
- Transaction details needed to display balances and to build, sign, and broadcast transactions
We do not run analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers in the wallet.
3. Blockchain Data
Because Alice Wallet interacts with public blockchain networks, certain information is publicly visible on-chain by the nature of the blockchain itself, including wallet addresses, transaction hashes, transaction amounts, and public balances. This data is public and is not controlled by Alice Wallet.
4. How Information Is Used
Information processed by the wallet is used only to:
- Create, import, and manage your accounts
- Display your balance and activity
- Build, sign, and broadcast transactions you initiate
- Let you sign in to Alice sites by signing a message (no password is sent to the site)
5. Local Storage and Security
Sensitive wallet data is stored locally on your device using the platform's storage and is encrypted with your password. You are responsible for the security of your device, your password, and your recovery phrase. If you lose your recovery phrase, no one — including us — can restore access to your wallet.
6. Network and Third-Party Services
To read balances and broadcast transactions, the wallet connects to public Alice Protocol RPC endpoints and related blockchain infrastructure. As part of normal network operation, those endpoints may receive technical data such as your IP address and the blockchain requests you make. The wallet connects only to the Alice network it is pinned to; it verifies the chain's genesis identity and refuses to operate against any other chain.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to operate the wallet's core blockchain functions, to comply with law, or to protect rights. We do not use or transfer your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
8. Data Retention
Data stored locally on your device stays under your control until you delete it or remove the wallet. Public blockchain records may remain permanently available on the relevant network.
9. Children's Privacy
Alice Wallet is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International Use
The wallet may be used in different jurisdictions. By using Alice Wallet, you understand that blockchain transactions and supporting network activity may involve international data transmission.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
